Tom Bayly

Tom Bayly, one of the West Allegheny Workcamp Project Team Members, is a Findlay Township employee of 16 years and a life-long resident.  Tom’s motivation to help bring a Workcamp to West Allegheny is fueled by first-hand
experience of seeing how mission trips impact the community and the youth that serve in them.  He has worked with youth in various roles through Oakdale United Presbyterian Church and other community organizations.  Tom believes giving kids opportunities to live out their faith is one of the most important things we can do.

Tom and his wife, Beth, have two children; one attending Penn State Behrend and the other still at West Allegheny High School.  Like Tom, Beth’s experience and passion is around youth, as her work in the Life Skills classroom at Wilson Elementary School gives her opportunities to help their development.  They have also witnessed the heart of the West A community after the flood that affected Oakdale in 2004.  Tom believes that same heart will be shown as the 2014 West Allegheny Workcamp impacts the youth that travel here to serve the local communities.  He also believes this will be the first of many more Workcamps to come!
